Coloring in Kraft Cardstock | Prismacolor Coloring Chart

Boy fighting a monster clear stamp set colored with pencils. By Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez.
Boy and Monster Clear Stamp Set colored with pencils

Hello!

I'm back! I decided to continue properly with the blog instead of having it just there or just posting photos. I'll try to post from time to time, sharing things that are new, things that are "old", things that I think are interesting or maybe not so much. The thing is... I'll try to be more present in the blog world so you can keep enjoying the Kinda Cute projects that me and my team make.

Today I'm showing you a coloring I made a while ago using Prismacolor pencils in kraft cardstock. I stamped Boy and Monster using Memento desert sand for a no line coloring. The funny thing is that I had to do it several times because the ink, being so light, in this kind of cardstock fade really fast, so if you do it, try to stamp several times in the same place. The best is to use a stamping tool that lets you do that.

I colored, as I said before, with Prismacolor pencils. It's very satisfying to color with pencils in kraft cardstock because it seems that you would never get vibrant colors but since the paper already has a tone, the colors really pop a lot. The photo doesn't do the coloring justice. The yellow is just fantastic!

Here is the colors I used. I don't write the colors I use in all my colorings but since I don't usually color with pencils I thought it might be of high interest;). I hope it's helpful. Click in the photo to see it properly, for any reason it's blurry :(.

Not the right background for a card.

handmade card with a monster and a boy

Hello everyone!

I am back today with a card that I made last year. This is very CAS and I have to say that I wasn't very inspired when I made it. I got some comments than the embossed background doesn't fit the image, which it is true. I don't know, I think somedays it is not just my day to make cards.

Anyway, I am using the digital stamp called Boy and monster but you can find it as clear stamp too.

I colored it with copic markers and I thought I  had the colors written down somewhere, I didn't find them when I posted this card in my other blog and I didn't find them now (of course, one year later...).

I hope you like the card. What do you think about the background?

Hugs,

Patricia

Showcasing Boy and monster

Hi there!

Another inspirational card made by Monika. She usually uses pencils and I love how she colored this one.
The stamp is called Boy and Monster and it is colored in a beautiful blue/turquoise palette.
I love the sentiment, it is something that we should follow and always try something new.

I hope you like the card for today,

hugs,

Patricia
